Garden Clearance in Inkberrow: Overgrown Gardens Cleared
Overgrown gardens in a village are rarely simple. An Inkberrow cottage plot may be small but densely packed with old shrubs, while a larger family garden can hide a lot of bramble, timber and forgotten rubbish.

We clear overgrown gardens, take out unwanted structures, remove waste and prepare the ground for landscaping. We also cut and prepare the ground afterwards, so a cleared garden is ready for the next stage rather than left as bare mud.
Working in tight and in open gardens
Cottage plots usually have narrow access, so much of the work is done by hand and the waste carried out through the house side passage or gate. The job takes careful sequencing to avoid damaging walls and surfaces that are staying. Hand tools and small machines are used where space is limited, and larger cutting equipment where there is room.
On a larger garden there is more machinery access, and we can cut back, dig out and clear much faster.
Cottage gardens in particular often hide old paths, edging stones and bulbs, so we take care when working close to features you may want to keep.
- Cutting back overgrown hedges, shrubs and brambles
- Removal of old sheds, greenhouses and decking
- Taking out broken paths, paving and concrete
- Rubbish and green waste taken away responsibly
- Cutting down and digging out stumps and roots
- Clearing ground ready for turf, paving or new fencing
Ground preparation and safe handling
Once the plot is clear we can level, rake and prepare it for turf, paving or planting, which saves bringing in a second contractor. If we find Japanese knotweed or giant hogweed we will say so before work continues, as they should not be cut or strimmed. Waste is loaded and taken off site by us, so there are no bags or heaps left behind.

Garden Clearance in Inkberrow: common questions
Will you keep plants I want to save?
Yes. Tell us what matters, whether it is a rose, a small tree or a hedge, and we will protect it and clear around it. It helps if you can mark them before we begin. It also helps to move garden furniture, pots and anything valuable before we arrive.
How long does a clearance take?
A small cottage garden may take a day, while a large neglected plot can take several. We will give you an idea of timing after seeing the garden, and it depends on access and how much waste there is. Wet weather can slow digging, but we can usually work around it.
